Masih Shahlaie, BDS MS
My dental training took place in England, at the University of London (The Royal London). Following Dental School, I embarked upon a training (Equivalent to GPR and didactic), where I gained a broader experience in other aspects of dentistry as well as general private practice where I remained for 1 _ years. My training in Periodontics was at Loma Linda University where I received a Certificate of Specialty as well as a Masters Degree in Periodontology. Following my residency, I became an assistant professor at Loma Linda University in a clinical setting, where I was engaged in diagnosis, treatment planning, laboratory and clinical periodontal treatment with junior and senior dental students. I completed my Board Certification in 2004 and was awarded Diplomate status by the American Board of Periodontology.
I was first introduced to implant dentistry in 1998 and, thereafter, attended numerous prosthetic and surgical implant-related courses. I find that my general dentistry experience provides me with a better understanding of the prosthetic requirements, the potential challenges and, ultimately, the overall treatment I provide for my patients. This also facilitates effective communication with referring restorative colleagues.
